Giota Kyriakou

Giota Kyriakou, PhD, is the Founder and Principal of InContext Bio, combining AI with physics based and mechanistic modeling to design and engineer enzymes, biologics, and RNA molecu. Previously, she served as Associate Director at Tessera Therapeutics, where she led computational design efforts in protein and RNA engineering, and spent five years at Cargill building and applying computational molecular design capabilities for industrial enzyme programs. She earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where she studied the mechanism of action of antimicrobial peptides using molecular dynamics simulations. She completed her undergraduate studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where her research focused on oral protein delivery using engineered lipid nanoparticles.
